Killing of rhinos in South Africa
South Africa – Government continues to explore ways to curb the increasing killing of rhinos in South Africa, including the possibility of dehorning the animals, Environmental Affairs Minister Edna Molewa said on Sunday.
About 24 rhinos have been killed in South Africa since the beginning of this month, while figures from the South African National Parks (SANPARKS) show that 448 rhinos were killed for their horns last year alone.
